This Privacy Policy explains how WalletSign, LLC (“WalletSign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use WalletSign.com and any related tools or services (collectively, the “Service”). This placeholder policy is for testing and development purposes only and will be replaced by a finalized legal version.

By using WalletSign, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

WalletSign is designed to minimize data collection and retain information only as long as necessary for the Service to function.

a. Information You Provide

When generating a Report, you may optionally enter information such as your name or email. These details are self-reported and are never verified for accuracy. They exist solely to appear on your PDF Report and are deleted after 30 days.

b. Wallet Connections and Signatures

When you connect your crypto wallet, WalletSign accesses only publicly visible blockchain data and performs read-only balance checks. WalletSign does not request or require transfer permissions. Signed messages are used strictly to confirm wallet ownership.

Wallet addresses, balance snapshots, and related data are deleted immediately after your Report is generated.

c. Payment Information

Payments are processed by third-party providers. WalletSign does not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or crypto private keys. We may receive minimal transaction metadata from payment processors (e.g., time, amount, or status of payment).

d. Device and Usage Data

To maintain security, prevent fraud, and ensure proper functionality, WalletSign may collect basic technical information such as:

  • IP address
  • browser type
  • operating system
  • timestamps
  • pages or actions taken on the site

This information is used for operational purposes only and is automatically deleted on a rolling basis.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information strictly for:

  • creating and validating your Report
  • providing verification links and QR codes
  • preventing abuse or fraud
  • processing payments
  • improving performance and functionality
  • communicating about technical issues, if necessary

WalletSign does not use personal information for advertising, profiling, or resale.

3. What We Do Not Collect or Store

WalletSign does not:

  • store wallet addresses after report generation
  • collect private keys or seed phrases
  • perform identity verification
  • track users for marketing
  • share data with brokers or advertisers
  • sell personal information

Our philosophy is to keep and retain as little data as possible.

4. Data Retention

We follow strict, minimal retention practices:

  • wallet data is deleted immediately after Report generation
  • personal data (e.g., name, email) is deleted after 30 days
  • basic logs are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed

If abuse, fraud, or security issues are detected, certain limited data may be temporarily retained.

5. Data Sharing

WalletSign shares information only when necessary to provide the Service or comply with the law.

We may share limited data with:

  • payment processors
  • infrastructure/security service providers
  • legal authorities (only if required)

We do not share data with marketing or analytics companies.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

WalletSign uses only minimal, essential cookies required for site operation. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics trackers, or behavioral monitoring.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption, access controls, and secure storage. While no system can be perfectly secure, our approach minimizes risk by minimizing retained data.

8. Third-Party Payment Providers

If you make a purchase, your payment is processed by a third-party provider. Their data practices are governed by their own policies. WalletSign does not control or take responsibility for their handling of your information.

9. International Users

WalletSign operates in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to processing under U.S. laws, which may differ from those in your country.

10. Children’s Privacy

WalletSign is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us for data deletion.

11. Your Choices

Your choices include:

  • not providing optional personal details
  • not using the Service if you disagree with read-only wallet verification
  • requesting early deletion of personal details before the 30-day expiration

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This placeholder version will be replaced by an attorney-reviewed policy.
